play date with Oma and Gong-Gong

We had a fun afternoon with Oma and Gong-Gong doing what they did with me as a child during the hot Houston summers--walk the mall. Rafa loved the escalators. Other highlights were a fish tank, a fountain and all the people watching. Fortunately, they don't quite understand consumerism yet. One day I'll yearn for the days when we could go to the mall without someone begging and pleading for us to buy something.

Sylvia didn't really care if she was walking upstream, she just wanted to follow the lines on the floor.

Gong-Gong found a place to rest!

do all kids do this?

I feel quite certain there's a photo of one of the kids in my family trying out the panty hat. She'll love these photos when she's older.

table for two

I may have posted something similar before. This is one of my favorite things. SylRafa chit chat over dinner at their own private little table. So cute.

look ma, no hands!

It's funny, the sense of pride, joy and excitement I get at each of these milestones. I mean, chances were pretty good that BabyOscar was going to learn how to stand. And yet, I can't help but try to make him stand on his own over and over again so that I can beam my rays of motherly delight over his latest trick.

we're a family

Like most parents, I'm sure, I have an incredible desire for my children to be close. So, while this isn't a photo where you can see their adorable faces or one that you immediately treasure when going through the thousands of digital photos we now seem to have at our fingertips, I love it. I love seeing all three VassariƱos playing together and bonus, harmoniously.
