it's beginning to look a lot like christmas!

The twins are LOVING the holiday season. Little kids get excited about pretty much anything new and different. Ah, to see the world through children's eyes...

We love how much they're enjoying Christmas music. Maybe not completely when they sing at 9:30pm at the top of their lungs.  Sylvia's favorite is Jingle Bells and Rafa's is 'We Wish You'. I'm also amazed at how quickly and easily they are learning words to some of the songs. It has also been wonderful to me to explain to them what it is that they're singing about. There are some gems in the lyrics that I often sing over without contemplating their significance. Let every heart, prepare Him room.

Yes. Let.

love

The last thing I do after putting Oscar down in his crib to sleep is give him a little kiss on the cheek. He has now started 'blowing' me a kiss afterwards. Well, kissing his hand, anyway. It's stinking adorable.

Then, yesterday, Sylvia was going to another room but wouldn't go by herself.
Me: you're a big girl, you don't need me.
Sylvia (taking my hand): But mami, I love you.

This morning:
Me: Rafa, why didn't you sleep without crying last night?
Rafa: because I wanted you to snuggle with me.

Heart melting.

some recent pics

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I need to find a new blog posting app because the one I used before I stopped posting frequently won't upload my pictures from my phone!

Hopefully some of these will make up for it a little...

Art appreciation for preschoolers...

Oscar loves giving Rafa hugs first thing in the morning. Rafa isn't always awake for it...
